ALPINE Apps — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

The ALPINE family of apps (“the Apps”) are learning and sensory apps designed for children — including children with autism and other special needs — and the adults who support them. They are published on Google Play by Dayanjan LLC (Glen Allen, Virginia, USA).

This policy covers the following apps: Fish Tank, Living Puzzles, Living Stories, Picture Puzzles, Read and Build, Read and Build with Reward, Sentence Builder, and Story Time.

The short version

  • No advertising of any kind, ever.
  • No in-app purchases.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking — no advertising IDs, no tracking SDKs.
  • No personal information collected — no names, emails, contacts, or location.
  • Most of the Apps work entirely offline and send nothing anywhere.
  • One app (Sentence Builder) can sync anonymous learning-progress data to a guardian's private dashboard — described in full below.

1. Information the Apps do NOT collect

None of the Apps collect, store, or transmit:

The Apps contain no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no social features, no chat, and no links out of the app.

2. Apps that work fully offline

Fish Tank, Living Puzzles, Living Stories, Picture Puzzles, Read and Build, Read and Build with Reward, and Story Time operate entirely on the device. Learning progress (for example, which puzzles or stories have been completed) is stored only in the app's private storage on the device itself and is never transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

3. Photos (Living Puzzles and Picture Puzzles)

Living Puzzles and Picture Puzzles let an adult choose photos from the device's photo library to turn into puzzles. Selected photos are copied into the app's private storage on the device only. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted. The Apps do not use the camera.

4. Sentence Builder — learning-progress sync

Sentence Builder is the one app in the family that can transmit data. When a parent, guardian, or clinician pairs the device (by importing a pairing file that they control), the app syncs learning-progress records to a private Google Cloud (Firestore) database in the United States so that the guardian can review progress on a private dashboard.

Each synced record contains only:

Synced records never include names, free-typed text, audio, photos, or location. The data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is restricted to the paired guardian's dashboard account; the data is not shared with, or sold to, any third party. Google acts solely as our cloud storage provider. If the device is never paired, Sentence Builder works fully offline like the other Apps and transmits nothing.

5. Children's privacy

The Apps are designed for children and are built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families policies. The Apps collect no personal information from children. Children cannot create accounts, enter personal information, make purchases, see ads, or communicate with anyone through the Apps. The only data that can leave a device (Sentence Builder's anonymous progress records, §4) is enabled and controlled entirely by a parent, guardian, or supervising clinician through the pairing process.

6. Data retention and deletion

On-device data belongs to you and is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. For Sentence Builder's synced progress records, a parent or guardian may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected] from the guardian account used for the dashboard, or by referencing the learner code from the pairing file. We will delete the associated records within 30 days of a verified request.

7. Security

Synced data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Google Cloud with access rules that permit the paired device to write only its own learner's records and permit reading only by the authorized guardian dashboard account. No public access is possible.

8. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect. Material changes affecting children's data will be reflected in the Google Play Data Safety disclosures for the affected app.
